Annie Awards 2015: trionfa “Dragon Trainer 2” con 6 premi

E’ lo splendido Dragon Trainer 2 a trionfare agli Annie Awards 2015 con ben 6 premi tra cui miglior film d’animazione, miglior regia, miglior montaggio e migliore colonna sonora (John Powell e Jonsi).

Il sottoscritto ha amato il bizzarro Boxtrolls che con i suoi “freak” che  si è aggiudicato le categorie migliori scenografie e miglior doppiatore (Ben Kingsley), ma il sequel della Dreamworks Animation ha saputo ampliare il mondo di Hiccup e Sdentato portando su schermo un’emozionante partitura fantasy “per tutti”, tecnicamente impressionante e capace di emozionare e coinvolgere senza ripetersi e questo trionfo è ampiamente meritato nonostante la tiepida accoglienza avuta dal film in patria con un incasso di soli 177 milioni di dollari a fronte di un budget di 145, ma ampiamente rimpolpato a livello internazionale con un incasso totale worldwide di 618 milioni di dollari.

Premiati con un singolo riconoscimento i gioiellini Big Hero 6 (Migliori effetti animati) e The Lego Movie (Migliore sceneggiatura), per quanto riguarda invece le categorie “live-action” scontata e strameritata la vittoria della Weta Digital per il suo lavoro nel sequel Apes Revolution – Il pianeta delle scimmie ancor più impressionante del suo predecessore e capace di mostrarci un futuro di interpretazioni in motion-capture sempre più coinvolgenti ed emozionanti.
