Biografia
Robert De Niro, Jr. (nato il 17 agosto 1943) è un attore, regista e produttore americano.
Il suo primo ruolo da protagonista nel film fu nel 1973 Batte il tamburo lentamente (Bang the Drum Slowly). Nel 1974 ha interpretato il giovane Vito Corleone in Il padrino – Parte II, un ruolo che gli è valso l’Oscar come miglior attore non protagonista. La sua collaborazione di lunga data con Martin Scorsese iniziò con Mean Streets – Domenica in chiesa, lunedì all’inferno del 1973. De Niro ottenne un Oscar per il miglior attore per la sua interpretazione di Jake LaMotta nel film del 1980 Toro scatenato. È stato anche nominato per un Oscar per i suoi ruoli in Taxi Driver (1976) e Cape Fear – Il promontorio della paura (1991). Inoltre, ha ricevuto nomination per la sua recitazione in Il cacciatore (1978) di Michael Cimino e Risvegli di Penny Marshall (1990).
