Oscar 2017, ecco gli 84 rivali di Fuocoammare come miglior film straniero
Presentati ufficialmente tutti i film in corsa per il miglior Oscar straniero.
Ci sarà anche Fuocoammare di Gianfranco Rosi nella cinquina finale dei film che concorreranno all’Oscar straniero? Lo scopriremo il 24 gennaio prossimo, quando verranno annunciate le candidature per l’89esima premiazione degli Oscar, che si terrà il 26 febbraio al Dolby Theatre di Hollywood, in diretta tv oltre 225 paesi in tutto il mondo.
Ebbene sono 84 gli sfidanti che Rosi dovrà provare a battere per far sua la statuetta, nata nel 1956 con la 29esima edizione degli Academy Awards. Tra i tanti film presentati c’è anche una prima volta, quello dello Yemen, e non poche pellicole di grido di cui tener conto. Tra tutte lo straordinario Neruda di Pablo Larrain, in corsa anche con Jackie; It’s Only the End of the World di Xavier Dolan; clamorosamente ancora mai nominato; Elle di Paul Verhoeven, in corsa per i francesi; l’iraniano The Salesman di Asghar Farhadi, vincitore nel 2012 con Una separazione; Afterimage del maestro polacco Andrzej Wajda, appena scomparso; l’immancabile Pedro Almodovar, con Julieta, il tedesco Toni Erdmann di Maren Ade e Paradise di Andrei Konchalovsky, tra i vincitori dell’ultima Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
Per l’Italia, primatista insieme alla Francia tra i Paesi che hanno vinto più Oscar stranieri (14), l’ultimo trionfo risale al 2014 con La grande bellezza di Paolo Sorrentino. Rosi, già Leone d’Oro con Sacro Gra, ha vinto l’Orso d’Oro proprio con Fucooammare. Forza Gianfranco.
