Il Divo di Paolo Sorrentino, Un giorno perfetto di Ferzan Ozpetek, Caos Calmo di Antonello Grimaldi, Il passato è una terra straniera di Daniele Vicari, Pranzo di Ferragosto di Gianni di Gregorio, Un gioco da ragazze di Matteo Rovere, Mar Nero di Federico Bondi e Io sono Viva di Dino e Filippo Gentili. Questi i titoli delle pellicole italiane che verranno presentate fra il 15 ed il 30 ottobre al The Times BFI 52nd London Film Festival.

Ad aprire l’edizione di quest’anno, la 52esima, sarà Frost/Nixon adattamento cinematografico diretto da Ron Howard del dramma teatrale di Peter Morgan sull’incontro tra Richard Nixon e il giornalista televisivo David Frost. A chiudere il festival sarà invece Slumdog Millionaire di Danny Boyle. Grande attesa per la prima europea di W. di Oliver Stone, in programma per il 23 ottobre. Il 29 i fan di James Bond potranno invece assistere ad un’anteprima esclusiva di Quantum of Solace, la cui uscita nelle sale è fissata per il 31 ottobre. Si vedranno anche il Che di Steven Soderbergh, Achilles and the Tortoise di Takeshi Kitano, Genova di Michael Winterbottom, Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompsonm di Alex Gibney, con Johnny Depp nelle vesti di narratore; Rachel Getting Married di Jonathan Demme, Synecdoche, New York di Charlie Kaufman e molti altri ancora.

Il programma del Festival è composto da artistic 189 lungometraggi e 108 corti, dei quali 15 verranno presentati in anteprima mondiale, 20 in anteprima europea e 119 in anteprima nazionale. Dopo il saltino, la lunghissima lista di tutti i titoli che verranno proiettati.
